I suppose any season is cookie season, isn’t it? But when it comes to making homemade cookies, we’re now getting into the prime season for baking. You can make fun Halloween cookies in pumpkin and monster shapes, topped with black and orange icing or sprinkles. There are all kinds of festive cookies you can make with the coming holidays- turkey and cornucopia shaped cookies for Thanksgiving, Santa and reindeer cookies for Christmas – the list goes on. Of course there are the classic treats like cinnamon oatmeal and walnut chocolate chip cookies, made to be dipped warm into a big glass of milk or hot chocolate. We usually keep some of the batch out to enjoy right away and another part of the batch goes in the freezer to enjoy the following week.
